Folding chair defeats Ryan Madson
Madson injured the toe
Philadelphia interim closer Ryan Madson hit the fifteen-day disabled list on Friday afternoon due to a broken right big toe. Details are given begun to emerge about the circumstances led to the injury, apparently it's self-inflicted.
Madson injured the toe, blew a save Wednesday in San Francisco. Madson said he slipped walking down a flight of stairs leading from the dugout to the clubhouse. Madson then kicked a metal folding chair. Madson told the press he felt like he stubbed his toe, but realized it was worse when he woke up Thursday morning and had difficulty walking.
