Laura Bush Opens in her Crash

Formaer USA first lady Laura Bush has finally opened up publicly about the mysterious car accident she had when she was 17, a crash that claimed the life of a high school friend on a dark country road in Midland, Tex.
 

Laura Bush in her new book, “Spoken From the Heart,” Mrs. Bush describes in vivid detail the circumstances surrounding the crash, which has haunted her for most of her adult life and which became the subject of many questions and speculation when it was revealed during her husband’s first presidential run time. A copy of Spoken From the Heart the book, scheduled for release in early May, was obtained by The New York Times at a bookstore.

Biography of Laura Bush:

Laura Bush, wife of formaer USA President George W. Bush, worked in the elementary school teacher and librarian in Texas city for more then 10 years before marrying at age 32. Mrs. Bush was first lady of Texas city when Mr. Bush was governor before coming to the White House.

Laura Bush was born Laura Welch on Nov. 4, 1946, the only child of Mr. Harold and Mrs. Jenna Welch. Laura's father was a real-estate developer, and mother worked as a secretary at his firm.

Laura Bush received a B.A. in education degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas in the year of 1968; in the year 1974 she earned a M.A. in library science from the University of Texas.

Mrs. Laura Bush met her husband in 1977 while she was working as a librarian at Dawson Elementary School in Austin. Laura Bush and Bush were married Nov. 5, 1977.

Laura Bush will write in her memoirs, including her experiences in the White House. The publisher Scribner, an imprint of Simon and Schuster, announced Jan. 5, 2009, in a release that it planned to publish the book in 2010. Laura Bush said in the release, she would tell ''the stories of the extraordinary events and people I've met in my life, particularly during my years in the White House.''
